Farmer’s Market
The 2022 Farmers’ Market is hosted Thursday afternoons from 4 to 7pm in Downtown Wauconda from July 7th through September 29th. It is located on Main Street between Mill Street and Bangs Street.
Fresh produce, flowers, meats, breads, food vendors, and a myriad of other products by local artisans comprise the market.

Art on Main/Pumpkin Decorating September 29th
Free parking can be found in the municipal lot at the corner of Mill and Maple Streets.


Street Dance
Saturday of Labor Day weekend brings the 23rd Annual Street Dance hosted by the Wauconda Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by the Village of Wauconda. Main Street is closed from 5 pm until 11 pm, and filled with residents enjoying live bands while gathering groceries for the Wauconda/Island Lake Food Pantry. 2022 Headliner is Kevin Purcell & The Nightburners.
Wauconda Rodeo
Due to COVID – the Rodeo has been postponed until July of 2023


Holiday Lights Parade, Tree Lighting and Holiday Walk on Main
Holidays Lights Parade rolls through our communities on December 3rd beginning with a tree lighting at the Wauconda Park District at 5pm. Parade route will be published in advance. Then join us on Sunday, December 4th at the 2022 Holiday Walk on Main featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus, crafts and fun for kids, trolly ride down Main Street, and live reindeer.

Business and Community Expo
The Chamber’s Business & Community EXPO is a family oriented showcase held at the Wauconda High School. It features local business exhibitors, government entities, direct sales, health & wellness fair, military expo, giveaways, a kid zone filled with activities and live entertainment. A must attend winter event.
